Mr Lewis has supported me in both stage 1, and 2 across subjects, Biology and Chemistry. He provided incredibly in-depth PowerPoints when teaching content, constructive criticism of drafts and many unique suggestions. The exam revision courses were also extremely useful and provided a concise overview of all examinable content with relevant questions attached.

I am eternally grateful to have had Mr Lewis as my tutor who has helped me improve in both Chemistry and Physics. I have always looked forward to having lessons with him as he has made content so much more engaging to learn. Mr Lewis is a patient, kind, encouraging and hard working tutor which is why he has become one of my ultimate inspirations to study further into the field of Physics. I just wanted to say a big thank you for your help this year with Chemistry and Biology. When I first joined Online Science Tutoring, I was struggling to keep up with my coursework and feeling overwhelmed. Your patient and encouraging approach made all the difference in my academic journey, allowing me to achieve the high grades I aimed for at the start of this year. You have an incredible ability to break down complex concepts into easily understandable pieces.

What I appreciate most was your dedication to ensuring I truly grasped the material. Instead of simply giving me answers you guided me to find solutions on my own, which improved my confidence and critical thinking skills. Your teaching style was also engaging and adaptable, always finding creative ways such as using diagrams and drawing mind maps to explain difficult topics that resonate with my visual learning style.

I’m incredibly grateful for your mentorship and would wholeheartedly recommend you to any student seeking to excel in their studies. I personally believe your impact goes beyond academics – you’ve helped me become a more confident and capable learner. I just wanted to end this off by saying I hope other students have the privilege of having you as a tutor.

I can only describe Mr Lewis as an amazing tutor! He has the ability to deliver content in a way which is clear, easy to follow and easy to understand. He creates an environment in which students feel comfortable to ask questions until we completely understand the concepts being delivered. Mr Lewis also provided me with incredible help for various assignments, including cutting down words or adding some important points, always resulting in a good grade. I highly recommend!

Mr Lewis has helped me so much in Chemistry with his skilful teaching. I am so grateful to have found him as I learnt many different techniques in tackling SACE and test-style questions. Thank you, Mr Lewis, for making Chemistry fun! 

Over the past two years of Mr Lewis teaching me, he took time to make sure I understood the content fully and would teach me at a pace that was suitable for me. He was supportive and kind during times I did not understand and needed extra help and would answer any questions I had. He made a comfortable learning environment for me and allowed me to become more confident in my abilities as a student!

Thank you very much for your expertise help this year. You have taught me so much and have always been willing to help. This has been one of the best decisions I have made this year to have you tutor me and it has been a privilege to get to know you. You have enabled me to achieve top marks in all my chemistry assessments which wouldn’t have been possible without your help. Through year 11 and 12 I have been lucky enough to have Mr Lewis as both my chemistry and physics tutor. Not only has his amazing teaching abilities helped me achieve my best in school, but I have also developed a newfound appreciation for science. Every time I did not understand a concept or part of a lesson, Mr Lewis would explain it in a way or sometimes even in numerous ways until you could properly understand it. Mr. Lewis was also always there to provide clarification and guidance with any tasks or drafts I needed help with. His constant dedication in making each tutoring session personalised and uniquely tailored to my needs was both very helpful and inspiring.

I cannot hope to express all my gratitude and appreciation for you through this one card, but I hope you can understand how much you mean to me and the impact you have had on my life. I once read a quote that said, “a good teacher is like a candle- it consumes itself to light the way for others”. After having you as my teacher over this past year, I have experienced this first-hand.

Your broad and deep understanding allows you to always answer my questions clearly and has inspired me to push myself to gain a greater understanding of all sciences. Your quick facts, witty humour and ability to radiate positivity have made the content so engaging and made every lesson something to look forward to.

As well as being a highly intelligent person, you have shown me how exceptional of a human being you are. The random deep insights into life, happiness and what to do in the future are lessons that I will hold close to my heart forever as I try to navigate my way through my life. Every single effort you dedicated towards me and the rest of our class will not be forgotten, and I hope the magnitude of these on all our lives is evident. Whatever your future holds, I am sure you will continue to change lives! All the best, I will miss you! 🙁

Dear Mr Lewis,

Thank you for all your help throughout this year. You went above and beyond your duty as a teacher to help me achieve my best, and I truly appreciate it.

From the first lessons I had with you in year 11 (where I vividly remember you throwing water across the bench and slamming lab coats onto the floor in chemistry), I immediately knew there was something different about the way you teach in comparison to all the other teachers. Now, two years later, my first thought was proven to be undoubtedly correct.

You’re an incredible teacher, and I really hope you see that. You have an exceptional ability to engage all your students in learning, as well as being a good person to speak to on a friendlier note. I honestly couldn’t have achieved what I have without your help!

The first thing I find most valuable however, is that not only did you help me achieve what I have academically, but you inspired me to want to do my best and never stop learning, thinking and understanding. You taught me to appreciate knowledge and inspired such a passion for science in me, and for that, I cannot thank you enough.

I think the following quote sums up what I’m trying to say quite well, “You can teach a student a lesson for a day, but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.”

Thank you so much for teaching us this year; you have made all of the concepts we’ve covered interesting and easily understandable, which has made all of us perform much better than we likely would have without you. Considering we only had a 25% chance of getting you this year, I’d say we’re all very lucky. All the best for the future.
